Hey, I’m Sola and I’m Here To Help.
Hi, I’m Sola. I’m a business coach for style coaches. When I started my own style coaching business, it was very was a very difficult process because it was tough to find someone credible train me. I found a person and it cost $10,000. After the program, I started this trial and error process, which took five years of hiring other coaches and trying to figure it all out.
The problem was many industry trainers only provide theoretical knowledge. So I learned a lot of stuff that didn’t make sense and didn’t help me to get clients.
I started StylistMōdi to create practical programs to help people like you to become style coaches and understand what it is your clients actually need from you. You need to know what kind of programs they’re willing to pay for so you can help your clients look and feel confident. And my job is help you understand how to do that.
My goal with StylistMōdi is to make sure that we are able to give this gift of looking and feeling confident without changing the person.
I want to make style coaching accessible to as many people as possible in a way that enhances the power of fashion; it does not trivialize it and at the same time allows you to feel like a professional. I want you to feel like you actually earn a living coaching other people; that this is an actual, legitimate career that people can pursue to pay for childcare, to buy food for your family or even send your kids to college.
As style coaches we have the power to change the direction of a person’s life. We can help people get a job or promotion. What we do is important. So why not make it possible and less mysterious for you to become a style coach.
You are my motivation!
Here’s My Top 3 Advice to All You Budding Entrepreneurs.
One, you want to go where you’re celebrated not where you’re tolerated. Go where your worth is not something you have to beg for. You shouldn’t have to validate your existence.
My job is to help you recognize the good and bad places to network and how to adapt your strategy so you’re more effective.
Two, know your lane and stay in your own lane. Figure out what you do so well that you don’t even have to think about it and consider if it’s possible to make a living doing that.
We all have special gifts and unique experiences. Sometimes we discount them because we assume they’re not important. For example, I worked in the insurance industry for 11 years before becoming a full-time style coach. Given my background I should’ve targeted insurance companies and agencies when I started, but I didn’t because I assumed my background was irrelevant. BIG, HUGE, MASSIVE Mistake!! In my coaching programs, I make sure you identify your “own lane”.
And three, don’t just do something for the sake of doing it or just to make money. Do it because you really want to serve someone. Do it because you genuinely want to make things better for somebody else and because you’re a creative being, the ideas for how to serve will come to you.
The best example for this is my clients. When I started, I focused on stay at home moms (SAHMs). I didn’t have children and was not a stay at home mom. It was tough for me to anticipate their needs. After a lot of frustrations, I decided SAHMs are not my market. Many years later, I understand why. But, my job is make sure you choose targets that make sense.
My decision to serve style coaches is because I know how hard it can be and how difficult and frustrating it was to build my business. That’s why I’m here to help you.
